Motorist drove on wrong side of A1 in Hertfordshire for 10 miles

The vehicle was spotted on the A1(M) near Hinxworth in north Hertfordshire on Monday night. Officers said the man travelled for 10 miles in the outside lane of the southbound carriageway for about 10 miles between junctions eight and seven. An application has been made to the DVLA to revoke his licence. More on this and other stories from Hertfordshire The vehicle was captured on video by road policing officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire unit, who stopped the car "without contact being made". They said a report will be sent to the DVLA with the intention of "revoking the driver's licence on medical grounds". No-one was injured and no vehicles were damaged, they added. |
