A man has been charged with the murder of a teenager who died after he was found with stab wounds in Chichester. A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a teenager who died after he was found with stab wounds.
Samuel Morgan, 19, unemployed of Adelaide Road, is accused of murder and possessing a knife in a public place, Sussex Police said. Samuel Morgan, 19, is charged with murdering 18-year-old Luke Jeffrey, from Bognor Regis, and possessing a knife in a public place.
Officers also identified the 18-year-old man who died as Luke Jeffrey, from Bognor Regis. Mr Morgan, of Adelaide Road, Chichester, was remanded in custody by Crawley magistrates to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Tuesday.
He was found with stab wounds in Alexandra Road on Friday night and died later in hospital. A 20-year-old from Chichester, has been released without charge.
Mr Morgan is due to appear before magistrates in Crawley later. Mr Jeffrey was found with stab wounds in Alexandra Road, Chichester, on Friday night.
Another man, a 20-year-old from Chichester, who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge. His family said he was studying at college to be a fitness instructor.
"Luke was a kind, caring and gentle young man," they said. "He was passionate about fitness and health and also had a lifelong love of music."
