Police are spending a second day trying to bring down a man who climbed to the roof of a house to evade arrest. A man who spent more than 30 hours on the roof of a house has been brought down safely by police.

Officers said he was "linked to a serious assault on the street". He was later arrested on suspicion of assault and was being questioned in custody.
According to media reports, the man has asked a police negotiator, who is trying to talk him down, for "a helicopter and a packet of digestives". Two men aged 18 and 19 who were held for the same offence have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Humberside Police were called at about 18:15 GMT to the disturbance, which involved a number of men in the street and resulted in a 33-year-old man sustaining serious head injuries. Police said officers would be carrying out "additional patrols in the area to reassure the public".
A 19-year-old man was later arrested but a second man in the house went on to the roof to avoid being arrested. According to media reports, the man had asked for "a helicopter and a packet of digestives" during the stand-off.
The victim of the assault was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary where he remains in a serious condition. Police were called at about 18:15 GMT on Sunday to the disturbance, which involved a number of men in the street and resulted in a 33-year-old man sustaining serious head injuries.
