Extra resources have been drafted in to help fight a major fire at a meat plant in Aberdeenshire. About 80 firefighters have been tackling a major blaze at a meat plant in Aberdeenshire.
Firefighters were called to the scene in Turriff shortly before 0500 BST on Wednesday morning. Fire crews were called to the Kepak Buchan plant in Turriff at about 0440 BST on Wednesday morning.

More than 70 firefighters are now tackling the blaze. No-one is thought to have been in the building. A large plume of smoke could be seen for several miles. Nearby industrial premises were evacuated and residents were advised to keep windows closed.
No-one is thought to have been in the building at Markethill Industrial Estate.
Grampian Police said there was also a "minor ammonia leak" which was not a cause for immediate concern.
A spokesman said it was too early to say if there were any suspicious circumstances.
He added: "The fire is now under control. Roads are expected to remain closed until the fire brigade has stood down."
There was livestock, including cattle and lambs, on the premises, but they were not said to be at risk from the fire.
