In the spirit of hashtags, Americans seem to be getting behind #DoYourJobFriday, according to a new poll from NBC News|SurveyMonkey. | |
Six in 10 Americans surveyed said that Congress should hold a vote on whether to confirm Merrick Garland, Barack Obama’s nominee to replace the late Antonin Scalia on the supreme court. According to the poll, only 36% of those surveyed said that the US senate should delay voting until after a new president is inaugurated. | |
As for the public’s feeling on the nomination itself, 61% of voters says that they either strongly or somewhat approve of Garland’s nomination to the supreme court, while 34% said they disapproved either strongly or somewhat of the nomination. | |
