Police said a man, a woman, two boys and another female whose age has still to be confirmed died after the car entered the water at about 19:30 GMT. | |
A passer-by helped rescue a baby girl from the car. She was taken to nearby Letterkenny hospital, where her condition is described as stable. | |

The Irish Coastguard launched a major search and rescue operation after what it described as a "tragedy". | |
