One injured in fight at carnival near Landmark Mall in Alexandria

Version 0 of 1. One person was injured in a fight that broke out Friday night at a carnival in the Landmark Mall area, Alexandria police said. Police spokeswoman Crystal Nosal said small groups of males in their teens and 20s were fighting, but she said she did not know whether any weapons were involved. Three people were taken into custody and one was charged with felonious assault, Nosal said. She said that a Fairfax police helicopter was called but that the large crowd dispersed peacefully. The mall’s website said a carnival is to run there through April 17. |
