Murder investigation launched after man's body found in stream

Version 0 of 1. Detectives have launched a murder inquiry after a man’s body was found in a stream in woodland. A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the discovery of the body near the Goodwyns estate in Dorking, Surrey, at 4.20am on Monday. The suspect is in custody for questioning. Officers from Surrey police are carrying out searches of the area as well as conducting house-to-house inquiries. DCI Paul Rymarz said: “At this stage we are still trying to identify the deceased man. “The team and I are focused on a number of inquiries to try and establish the circumstances surrounding this incident, and will be carrying out various searches in the area, as well as making house-to-house inquiries.” |
