The blaze was discovered in a bedroom just before 2230 BST on Thursday. It is understood the fire may have started accidentally. | |

John Langtrey from the Fire and Rescue Service praised the neighbours who rescued the couple in the Ligoniel fire. | |
"With the working smoke alarm there, they (the couple) would have had a warning," he said. | |
"But at that stage the fire was developing very quickly in the bedroom and there was a lot of smoke and they were already feeling the effects of some smoke inhalation. | |
"Certainly the neighbours affected, we would call it a rescue - they definitely rescued the couple from the property." |
