The items were found near Raphoe during searches on Thursday. It was found at Mongorry Wood, an isolated area near Raphoe on Thursday. Searches in the area are continuing.
Meanwhile, gardaí have been given a further 24 hours to question three men about dissident activity, including the murder of Strabane man Andrew Burns. Gardaí have refused to give any details about the items, which have been taken to Letterkenny for examination.
The men, from the Strabane area, were arrested in Donegal on Tuesday. Mr Burns was shot dead in February. Meanwhile, gardaí have been given a further 24 hours to question three Tyrone men about dissident activity.
