Ipswich bungalow fire kills man in 80s and seriously injures another

Four fire crews were called to Fuchsia Lane, off Foxhall Road in Ipswich, just after 01:00 BST when a neighbour saw flames coming from a window. Two men were pulled from the building, one of whom had gone into cardiac arrest and had his heart restarted. Suffolk Police said a man in his 80s died in hospital and a second man was in a serious condition. He is being treated at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, a force spokeswoman added.
