A three-year-old girl is in hospital after falling from the second-floor escalator in Liverpool's Primark store. | |
It is understood the toddler may have come off one of the escalators and fallen through the gap between them. | |
Merseyside Police said the girl was taken to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital by ambulance but her condition was not yet known. | |
The Church Street store was exacuated and sealed off after the incident, which happened at about 1330 BST. | |
Police and health and safety officers are currently investigating at the scene. | |
Police are also questioning staff and shoppers at the store in a search for potential witnesses. |
