The body of Joe McMinn, 28, was discovered in a wooded area known as Devil's Den, next to Goodwyns housing estate in Dorking, on Monday morning. | |
His family said he was a "kind man who would go out of his way to help people". | |
The accused, Richard Taylor, of no fixed address, is due to appear again at Guildford Crown Court on 28 April. | |
A post-mortem examination found Mr McMinn died of multiple stab wounds. | |
In a tribute, his family said: "We are devastated to have lost our dear son, brother and uncle." | |
They added they were "extremely proud of him for recent personal achievements". |
