Three men have been charged after police seized heroin with a street value of up to £20m. Three men have appeared in court charged with conspiracy to supply heroin worth up to £20m.
Officers found 350kg (770lb) of heroin in a Seat Leon and BMW estate in a service station car park near junction 8 on the M20, at Maidstone, Kent. Harminder Chana, 30, of Upton Park, East London, and Atif Khan, 32, of York Close, Beckton, were remanded in custody at Richmond Magistrates' Court.
Harminder Chana, 30, and Atif Khan, 31, both from east London, and Dutch national Patrick Kuster, 35, are accused of conspiracy to supply. Dutch national Patrick Kuster, 35, was also placed on remand at the hearing.
They will appear before magistrates in Kingston on Saturday. Officers found 350kg (770lb) of heroin in a Seat Leon and BMW estate in a service station car park near junction eight on the M20, at Maidstone, Kent.
Mr Chana's address was given as Upton Lane, Upton Park, while Mr Khan lives at York Close, Beckton. Police said Mr Kuster was of no fixed address. They three are due to appear at Kingston Crown Court on 9 June.
