Rescue teams have been continuing to search for a diver missing in the North Sea since Saturday. A diver missing in the North Sea since Saturday has been named as Steven Darren Ottewell by police.
The 38-year-old from Cheshire failed to resurface after exploring a wreck in Scapa Flow off the Orkney Islands. The 38-year-old was recently of Cuddington, Cheshire but formerly of Selston, Nottingham.
Rescuers called off the search at 2030 BST on Saturday after the man had been missing for nine-and-a-half hours. He had failed to resurface after exploring a wreck in Scapa Flow off the Orkney Islands.
They resumed the search on Sunday despite little chance of finding him alive as survival time in the water would be only about three hours. Mr Ottewell had been diving from the dive boat Karen down to the vessel Markgraf, 40m below the surface, with a colleague.
