FBI links ‘Bandage bank robber’ to nine robberies in Maryland
Version 0 of 1. A man who robbed two banks in Howard County on Friday and a third in Montgomery County last year, according to authorities, has now been linked to a total of nine bank robberies in Maryland, the FBI said on Tuesday. The man has been nicknamed the “Bandage bank robber” because of his disguise — a white bandage over his left eye and nose, black eye glasses and a neck brace usually worn over a hooded sweatshirt. He is described as black, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. [Man holds up two banks in one day] Police said the first bank robbery linked to the man occurred in October 2015 and the most recent one was on Friday. In each case, police said he approaches the bank counter, hands a teller a note announcing an armed robbery and demands money.
