Teenagers charged with Newcastle toddler kidnap

Two teenage girls have been charged with kidnapping a three-year-old child in central Newcastle.

The girl went missing from the Primark store in Northumberland Street shortly before 17:00 BST on Wednesday.

She was found just over an hour later in nearby Gosforth.

Northumbria Police said two girls, aged 13 and 14, had been charged with shoplifting and kidnap and will appear before magistrates on Friday.
