A pilot flying into Heathrow airport from Geneva has reported to police that a drone collided with aircraft. A British Airways flight has been struck by a suspected drone as it began land at Heathrow Airport.
The plane is understood to have landed safely. Flight BA727 from Geneva, Switzerland was hit as came into the London airport at around 1pm on Sunday afternoon with 132 passengers and five crew on board.
The flight landed at Heathrow Terminal 5 safely, police said.
British Airways said the Airbus A320 has been examined by engineers and cleared to take off for its next flight following the incident.
