A plane crashed around 1:17 p.m. Tuesday in Queen Anne’s County near Route 8 and eastbound Route 50, authorities said. Two people were killed in a single-engine plane crash Tuesday in Queen Anne’s County, a Maryland State Police spokesman said.
The crash is under investigation by the Maryland state police. The crash happened about 12:44 p.m. near Route 8 and eastbound Route 50 in Stevensville, said Cpl. DaVaughn Parker with the State Police.
No further information was immediately available. Parker said a man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene.
The pair had been flying in a red and white two-seat Van’s RV-12, he said. Authorities don’t know yet whether they were taking off from nearby Bay Bridge Airport or whether they were landing there, he said.
