North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said three crews were in attendance - two had been sent from Malton and another from York.
It was also sending an additional support unit including external foam equipment.
A spokesman said up to 20 firefighters were at the crash scene and a foam blanket had been placed around the aircraft in case it catches fire.
