A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the inquiry, which Chief Superintendent Jon Reilly described as a “fast-moving investigation”.

Chief Superintendent Jon Reilly said: "A full investigation is under way into this serious incident involving a firearm which we believe is of a domestic nature. Force incident manager Rob Pearson said: ”The bottom line is it is still ongoing. We have not located the man.

He said a team of detectives was working to track down Broadway.
The public have been advised to call 999 to report any sightings, quoting log number "1051 of 5 May".
