The suspect is not in custody and the victims have been taken to hospital, following the incident in Bethesda, on the outskirts of Washington DC. A man suspected of killed his wife outside a school on Thursday could be responsible for two shootings on Friday and is still at large, say police.

During a media briefing a police spokesman said that they are seeking a "person of interest", but did not release further details. Nearby schools and hospitals are on lockdown as police search for the man they think is behind them.
