Slough Cemetery rape: Man arrested

A man has been arrested after a woman was raped at a cemetery while paying her respects to a relative.

Thames Valley Police said the woman, in her 50s, was approached by a man who knocked her to the ground, injuring her head.

The assault took place at about 18:30 BST on Monday at Slough Cemetery and Crematorium.

A 30-year-old man from Slough has been arrested on suspicion of rape and is in custody.

After the assault the woman drove to the entrance of the cemetery to get help and was assisted by two members of the public.

She was taken to Wexham Park Hospital for treatment.
