Re “The Miserable French Workplace,” by Pamela Druckerman (Op-Ed, May 12):

A country where the workweek is 35 hours long, where most workers — even newly hired — have a minimum of six weeks of vacation a year, where all new mothers have a 16-week maternity leave with 100 percent of their salary is described as having a “miserable” workplace?
