Police are investigating the discovery of a body in a children’s play area at a park in Devon on Sunday night. Police have said the death of a woman whose body was discovered in a children’s play area in Devon is not being treated as suspicious.
Photos showed a climbing frame covered by a police tarpaulin as forensic officers inspected the scene.  Officers discovered the body at 3am on Sunday in Cary Park, Torquay.
The death is being treated as unexplained and the gender of the deceased has not been confirmed.  The deceased has been identified as a woman in her thirties from the town. Her family have been informed and no one else is being sought in connection with the death.

A police statement to the Torquay Herald Express said: "At 3am on Sunday May 22, police discovered a body in Cary Park, Torquay.  A statement released by Devon and Cornwall police said the force received a "very positive response from the public" relating to an earlier witness appeal regarding the incident.
"Enquiries are ongoing and police would like to speak with a group of males aged 18 to 22 who were in the park at approximately 2am on May 22.” It continued: "Officers would like to thank all those who came forward and assisted their investigation."
Officers said they had a “good response” from the public following the appeal and are now “actively following a number of enquiries”.
