(about 3 hours later)
Three bodies, two of them children, have been found at a home north of Adelaide. A man suspected of the murder of a woman and two children near Adelaide has left hospital under heavy police guard.
The bodies of the children and an adult female were found after police were called to a home on Jack Cooper Drive in Hillier on Monday afternoon. Police found the bodies of a five-year-old boy, six-year-old girl and 29-year-old woman inside a rural property in Hillier on Monday afternoon.
A man who was at the home has been taken to Lyell McEwin hospital under police guard. The 30-year-old man was found outside the home and is expected to be charged with murder.
More to come ... He was initially held at Lyell McEwin Hospital but was later taken away by detectives in an unmarked police car, wearing a blue jumpsuit and a hood over his face.
Detectives remained at the scene of the large, secluded property on Jack Cooper Drive, about an hour north of Adelaide into Monday evening.
Officers were called to the property about 1.30pm and searched inside after speaking to three men at the scene.
Police declined to say how the victims died or whether they were related to the suspect but said the incident appeared to be linked to domestic violence.
“This matter doesn’t involve any other people and it does appear at this stage to be domestic related,” Chief Inspector Alby Quinn said.
The suspect is expected to face court on Tuesday.
