Police in Los Angeles are investigating reports of a live shooter at the UCLA campus. The university announced on Twitter just after 10am that there had been a campus-wide lockdown, saying there was a “possible shooter” at Boelter Hall, part of the university's school of engineering.  Police in Los Angeles say two people have been injured in a shooting incident at the UCLA campus, which was locked down this morning following reports of a “possible shooter” at Boelter Hall, part of the university's school of engineering. Students and staff received a text alert shortly before 10am saying there had been a shooting and advising them to go to a secure location.
  UCLA college newspaper The Daily Bruin reported that the shooter was a white male of around six foot, wearing a black jacket and black trousers, according to police. The university confirmed that there were two victims, whose conditions remain unknown.
Police were reportedly at the scene in the city's Westwood neighbourhood and people were asked to shelter in place. UCLA student Carrie Rapaport said she was on lockdown in a room on campus with fellow students and had used her belt to lock the door. "Right now, we're all sitting in the dark quietly, she wrote.
