At least nine people have been wounded in a shooting incident in central Tel Aviv in Israel, local media reports. Two people are reportedly in critical condition. At least three people were killed and several more wounded in a shooting incident in central Tel Aviv, Israeli police said. According to some reports, the two gunmen responsible for the attack were dressed like “ultra-Orthodox Jews.”
The incident, a suspected terror attack, took place at Sarona Market, a popular shopping center in the city center. The market is located close to the Israeli Defense Ministry and General Staff buildings.
One suspect, referred to as a "terrorist," has been captured by police, Micky Rosenfeld, the Israel police’s spokesman for the foreign media, said on Twitter.
According to initial reports, an armed man opened fire at passers-by in the area.
Reports on social media suggested there were two shooters, “dressed as ultra-orthodox Jews.”
The area has been sealed off by law enforcement, and people have been warned to stay away from the scene.
