Four people are believed to have been injured in an explosion at a disused pub in Leeds city centre. Five people have been injured in an explosion at a disused pub in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police said the injured were receiving hospital treatment, but their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The fire service said the blast appeared to be the result of a gas leak and gas officials had been called.

Five fire engines are at the scene of the boarded up pub and gas officials have been called to the site. Five fire engines attended the scene of the boarded up pub which sits opposite the hospital which forms part of the biggest hospital trust in the country.
