Denton 'drug driver' crash leaves girl, 10, injured

A girl was seriously hurt in a crash involving a suspected drug driver.

The 10-year-old was struck as she crossed the road on Friday and suffered a fractured skull, broken legs and pelvis and a bleed to the brain.

A man, 26, was detained on suspicion of drug driving and dangerous driving causing serious injury, after the crash at about 20:00 BST.

A van driver who is a potential witness to the crash, in Manchester Road, Denton, is urged to contact police.
