More than 30 people were injured when two buses crashed into each other in Luton. Seventeen people were injured when two buses crashed into each other in Luton.
Fifteen passengers were taken to hospital and 17 others treated at the scene after the collision on the Busway on Saturday afternoon. Fifteen of the injured were taken to hospital after the collision on the town's guided busway track on Saturday.
East of England Ambulance Service said five patients were suspected to have serious injuries. The East of England Ambulance Service said five patients sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.
None of the injuries were life-threatening and others were "walking wounded", an ambulance spokesman said. The two bus operators, Centrebus and Grant Palmer Ltd, said investigations were under way into the cause of the collision and they were co-operating with Bedfordshire Police.

Bedfordshire Fire Service sent three fire engines and a rescue unit to site of the crash on the westbound side of the road, near where Chaul End lane meets Hatters Way. The accident happened at about 15:00 BST on the westbound side of the Hatters Way busway near Chaul End Lane.
A spokesman for Flitwick-based Grant Palmer said: "We do not yet know the circumstances surrounding this incident.
"We will fully assist and comply with the police investigation into this matter. We wish those injured a speedy recovery"
Centrebus released a statement saying an investigation was under way to "establish what caused the incident".
"We continue to work with the police, DVSA [Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency] and the local authority with regards to this matter."
