The UK Foreign Office is "standing by" to help Britons in the French city of Nice after a lorry crashed into a crowd killing at least 84 people. Prime Minister Theresa May said the UK must redouble its efforts to defeat terrorism, as she condemned the "brutal murderers" behind the Nice attack.
The lorry driver was shot dead, and President Francois Hollande said the incident was of a "terrorist nature". Britain stands "shoulder to shoulder" with France after the "horrifying" attack, Mrs May said.
