Your article (In the dragon’s den, G2, 14 July) brought out the geek in me: aged 17, in 1974, at a meeting of the South East London Wargames Group (venue: Grove Park Youth Centre), my friends and I acquired a boxed set of Dungeons & Dragons from an American guest. But I recall the huge excitement and pleasure of our first campaign, which lasted nine months and almost certainly clipped a grade off each of my A-Levels!Stephen JohnsonBurpham, SurreyYour article (In the dragon’s den, G2, 14 July) brought out the geek in me: aged 17, in 1974, at a meeting of the South East London Wargames Group (venue: Grove Park Youth Centre), my friends and I acquired a boxed set of Dungeons & Dragons from an American guest.
