An explosion has occurred around 200 metres (220 yards) from a reception centre for migrants in the town of Zirndorf near Nuremberg, German broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk reported, but initial reports said noone had been injured. Bavarian police have confirmed a detonation incident involving a suitcase near a migrant centre in Zirndorf, Germany, but said there had been no explosion and there was no danger to the surrounding area.
The broadcaster said on its website that a suitcase filled with aerosols had been detonated, adding that it was unknown who had caused the explosion. The incident, which occurred around 200 metres (220 yards) from a reception centre for migrants in the town near Nuremberg, caused no injuries.
It had earlier reported that the explosion took place near a migration office. Earlier reports in German media had said said that a suitcase filled with aerosols had exploded near a migration office.
