Singer Michael Jackson is preparing to appear on stage at this year's World Music Awards ceremony, to be held at London's Earls Court this evening. Singer Michael Jackson was booed after failing to meet fans as he arrived at this year's World Music Awards at London's Earls Court.
The pop star will perform his 1985 song, We Are the World at the event, which is hosted by Lindsay Lohan. Hundreds of fans had waited outside for hours to greet the 48-year-old pop star, who turned up wearing all black and his trademark sunglasses.
He had been expected to perform at the event, but spoke briefly to reporters and told them he would not be singing.
Jackson said it had been a "misunderstanding" that he would be.
