Police responded to reports that a man had been assaulted late on Wednesday evening on Warrington Street. Upon arrival, they found a man in his forties with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital and died upon arrival. | |
He has not yet been formally identified. | |
Detective Inspector Kevin O’Regan from the Greater Manchester Police said: “This has been quite a fast moving investigation and we have now made three further arrests bringing the total number of people we have in custody to four. | |
“Our investigation continues and I would urge anybody with information to please contact police, no matter how insignificant you think it may be.” | |
