Man, 45, dies after pub assault Police questioning pub death men

A 45-year-old man has died after being assaulted outside a pub in Tredegar, south Wales. Police are continuing to question four men arrested in connection with the death of a 45-year-old man who was assaulted outside a pub in south Wales.
Gwent Police said they were called to the Tredegar Arms Hotel in Morgan Street at 2245 BST on Sunday following the attack. Alan Brown, of New Tredegar, was taken to Nevill Hall hospital in Abergavenny after the attack outside the Tredegar Arms Hotel, Tredegar on Sunday night.
Alan Brown, who was from New Tredegar, was taken to Nevill Hall hospital in Abergavenny but died at 1100 BST on Monday. He died the next morning and two men were arrested on suspicion of murder.
Two men, both in their 20s, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. The other two men have been arrested for assisting an offender in connection with the death.
They were originally arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. All four had originally been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Two other men who had also been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm have been re-arrested for assisting an offender in connection with the death. The scene of the attack was cordoned off by police for forensic teams to gather evidence.
