Black Lives Matter protesters lay down on tram tracks in Nottingham causing 'gridlock' in the city. Black Lives Matter protesters caused simultaneous 'gridlock' on the M4 motorway at Heathrow and in Nottingham.
Four protesters tied themselves together in Upper Parliament Street blocking services between the Royal Centre and Market Square. Campaigners lay on the tarmac on the slip road to the airport disrupting traffic
Traffic backed up around the area and Nottingham City Transport said there were delays on all city bound buses. Protesters also blocked tram tracks in Nottingham, stopping services into the city centre and backing up traffic on surrounding streets.
Protesters from the Black Lives Matter movement are also disrupting traffic around Heathrow Airport. Several arrests have been made and specialist negotiators are talking to the protesters

BBC reporter Sandish Shoker said the stunt brought the roads around Upper Parliament Street to a standstill. Nottinghamshire Police have now put up barriers and are using specialist cutting gear to separate the protesters whose arms are linked through tubes.
Meanwhile on the M4 slip road, police have opened one lane but holidaymakers still face traffic disruption.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Police at Heathrow are dealing with a demo. We were called at 08:25 on the fifth to the M4 slip road at Heathrow airport.
"A number of people were reported to be blocking the road leading to the airport. Officers have attended. A number of people have been arrested. One lane has been opened but there is traffic congestion. Police continue to deal with the situation at the scene."
