It is thought that the fire broke out at the Studio 338 nightclub. Pictures of flames raging behind the Ibiza-style nightclub Studio 338 have also been widely posted.
Transport for London has also tweeted to say Millennium Way and Boord Street have been closed because of "possible smoke across the carriageway".

The London Ambulance service are also on the scene. London Ambulance Service said it was called to the scene at 11.58am, and sent a single responder in a car, an ambulance crew, the hazardous area response team, two incident response officers and the air ambulance.
It is currently unclear if anyone has been injured in the fire. A spokeswoman added: "We treated one patient at the scene for burns. They were taken to hospital by London's air ambulance. We remain on the scene."
