CBC News named the suspect as Aaron Driver. CBC News said Aaron Driver's family had confirmed his death.
Reuters news agency, quoting intelligence sources, also said the suspect was Driver and that he had been arrested last year for openly supporting the so-called Islamic State group on social media. It said that police had told the family that Driver had detonated an explosive device, injuring himself and another person.
