Strathclyde Fire and Rescue said it responded to 26 calls about flooding overnight.
The worst of these were on the south side of Glasgow, where about 50 homes were affected by floodwater.
In several of the properties, the water was two to three feet deep and about 24 people had to be evacuated.

Sadia Arshad's home in Southpark Village was flooded.
"Within an hour, the place was totally flooded," she said.
"Everything go wet downstairs, water was flooding in so fast.
"Everything is drenched in water, floorboards and carpets were floating.
"We tried to lift as much as we could."
First ScotRail said it had suspended services between Dalmuir and Larkhall, Dalmuir and Motherwell/Lanark, and between Motherwell to Milngavie from early morning.
Buses have been laid on between Dalmuir, Clydebank and Yoker; Garscadden and Clydebank and Yoker and between Motherwell, Airbles and Hamilton Central stations.
