A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murdering a woman who was found dead in her Norfolk home. A teenager accused of murdering a mother-of-three has appeared in court.
The body of mother-of-three Elaine Walpole, 47, was discovered at Dreibholz Court, Dereham, on 29 April. The boy, 16, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before magistrates in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, accused of killing Elaine Walpole, 47.
A post-mortem examination has taken place but the results were inconclusive, police said. Mrs Walpole was found dead at her home in Dereham, Norfolk, on 29 April, after being stabbed.
The teenager, who is due to appear before magistrates in Great Yarmouth, is also accused of robbing an elderly couple in King's Lynn on 6 May. The boy, who is also accused of robbing a woman in King's Lynn, Norfolk, on 6 May, was remanded in custody to appear before Norwich Crown Court on 19 May.
Police arrested the accused in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, on Thursday. Police said the youth, who lives in the Dereham area, was arrested in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, on Thursday.
A post-mortem examination of Ms Walpole has taken place but the results were inconclusive, police said.
