The incident happened at a house in Derryview Terrace in the Gobnascale area just before midnight on Tuesday. It happened at the Derryview Terrace home of Gary Jarvis and his partner Amanada Coyle just before midnight on Tuesday.

Amanda Coyle, who was at home with the couple's nine-year-old daughter when the gang burst in, said it was the most terrifying experience of her life.
"I was locked in the bathroom and I couldn't get out. I could hear him squealing but I couldn't help him," she said.
"And then he got out of the bedroom and I tried to go and help him, but I got pushed back in.
"Then after I seen them going, I went round to help him, but at that stage he was already knocked out."
