Elaheh Azimfar, a member of the NCRI told The Independent that women were growing more forceful in their resistance to the regime.  
“Iranian women have always resisted and refused to be subdued, showing the regime that they will not cower," she said.
"But what is new is the incredible level of courage that these women now have.
“Their fear is dissipating. Women have always been the driving force for change.
“It is not at all strange that under such circumstances the women of Iran resort to brave acts which are forbidden by the mullahs' regime.
“The Iranian people are now realizing that the regime has become very weak. Iran is on the brink of a major upheaval.”
