Train services hit by long delays

Train services between London and the Midlands have been disrupted by major signalling problems.

Virgin Train and London Midland services between Coventry, Birmingham New Street and London Euston have been hit by the problems at Milton Keynes.

Delays of up to 90 minutes, service alterations and cancellations could occur, National Rail Enquiries said.

Virgin Trains has advised people not to travel and said that tickets would be valid on Friday.
