To register online in New York, you need a driver’s license, a driver’s permit or another official form of identification from the state. You cannot register to vote online in Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Montana or Tennessee, but each state has deadlines to register by mail or in person on Tuesday.
Mail: Oct. 14 In the following six states, the deadline for all forms of registration, including online, is Tuesday.
