"We are conducting numerous enquiries into this incident and would like to speak to anyone with information who has not yet spoken to officers," said Sgt Scott Lynch. Residents said the estate was known as a location for drag racing.
"A lot of people were in the area at the time and we believe that some of them may have video or pictures of the collision. "On a Friday and Saturday night, sometimes in the week, I can hear them running round up to midnight," said Andy Walker,
"There are screeching tyres and horns blaring and you can hear them racing up and down the road."
Sgt Scott Lynch said police wanted to speak to anyone with information who had not yet spoken to officers.
