Two people have been arrested over the murder of an Oxford man more than a year ago.

Enayit Khalili died in hospital from a single stab wound after answering the door to his house in Fiennes Road, Rose Hill, at 0300 GMT on 24 March 2007.

On Friday, a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and a woman, aged in her 60s, was detained for perverting the course of justice.

Police had offered a £25,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.

Detectives have conducted hundreds of interviews but previously said the motive for the killing remained a mystery.

Mr Khalili, 31, was described as a "hard-working" and "friendly" man.

He came to the UK from Afghanistan as an asylum seeker in 2001, and was granted indefinite leave to stay.
