To the Editor:

Re “For Every 10 U.S. Adults, Six Vote and Four Don’t. What Separates Them?” (graphic, Sept. 14):

Some reasons to vote cannot be measured by statistics. My immigrant grandparents conveyed to me at an early age how they always voted in America simply because they could. They took such pride in being able to exercise that fundamental right.

That is why I never miss an opportunity to vote.
