The 30-year-old woman and a male colleague, 31, had been called to the Drumchapel area of Glasgow when they were attacked. | |
"They had stopped a car to speak to the occupants," a spokesperson for Police Scotland said. "The car then deliberately reversed and struck both officers, leaving them seriously injured. | |

Police are appealing for information on the incident in Banner Drive at around 11.15pm on Sunday, when the attackers fled. | |
Detective Inspector Ian Hylands said a blue Nissan Qashqai seen at the location was been found badly damaged by fire two miles away in Scotstoun. | |
"We have yet to confirm if that is the same vehicle," he added. "Despite the damage, forensic officers will carry out a comprehensive examination of the car. | |
"Everything that can be done to locate the suspects is being done but I would like to appeal to anyone who may have seen the incident or who has any knowledge of the vehicle or the suspects to contact us. | |
"Two police officers, in responding to an incident to help protect the public, have been badly injured. Help us find those responsible.” | |
